Michael
ended the season a little disappointed.
After all his injuries finally headed he felt that he just started to
put things together and ride well as the season ended. We are now enjoying a little time at home
together with our two cats.
Before testing
starts for next year (actually some of the testing is going on right this very
moment) Michael is deliberating regarding this weekends "Pre
Des-Nations" event at Glen Helen.
As talks continue it looks favorable for Burner to step up the pace and
race on Saturday at the World Cup of Motocross. We will know for sure after all the finer details are set out a
little later in the week but we will let you know for sure.
We welcome Michael’s new mechanic aboard last week as it became official. Mr.
Darrin Sorrenson originally from Canada, who worked for Chris Gosselaar last
season will now be working as Michael’s mechanic for the 2003 season. Those two have a mutual respect for each
other and the work ethic is high and appreciative from what I have seen so
far. Things look promising for this
weekend and beyond.
Speaking of
beyond Mike is traveling to Sheffield England on the 19th of October to compete
in a Supercross event. This is Mike’s
first SX event overseas since being here full time in the United States. After
Sheffield the US Open of Supercross rolls around in Las Vegas, followed by more
testing and then to Bercy France in November for another Supercross Event.
Michael has taken up mountain bike riding as one of his favorite spare
time/cross training sports and we would like to thank the guys at Giant in
OZ for hooking us up and sponsoring him with a radical new bike for Burner
to ride on.
That’s just about it for now,
Regards,
