I was
pleased with the race at San Francisco, as it’s good preparation for me for the
125 East Supercross Series. I got a great start in the 250 final and I was
stoked with the first ten laps. I rode a little tight though, and make a few mistakes
while passing Team Suzuki's Roncada. It threw off my rhythm for 2 laps.
After making a few mistakes Ferry, LaRocco and Ezra Lusk were all in spitting
distance of me. I guess I was a little disappointed with the way the remaining
laps unfolded, but it’s a good learning curve for me and the races to follow. I
was able to hold onto finish 7th in the 250 main event. Racing with the top 250
Supercross Riders in the world has given me the confidence I need to win the
125cc east coast series.
VRM: Michael what do you think about the amount and style of block passing
going on this year?
Burner: As far as block passing goes
(in general), I think it’s a part of racing to come in and take someone's line
away. I don't agree with coming in to knock a rider down on purpose. It puts
both riders in danger. If that's the way you have to ride to beat someone, I
think your not winning fair and square.
