was up and down for me. I felt nervous going into the days racing. Nerves can
be good so, I just went through each practice and then the day qualifier just
doing the best I could. I was glad to get it out of the way before the nights
qualifying session.
I went down
in the first turn of the 125 heat race and in the 125 main. I couldn't
believe it! All in all I made the best
of a bad situation and did my best to come through from a last place start to
3rd in the 125 main. It wasn't first, but a podium never the less. I was
pleased with my bike and the Factory Connection/Chaparral Honda Team behind me
worked awesome helping get me there.
I had set out a goal earlier in the week to just make it thru the final unhurt
or injured. Last year's first round saw me get injured bad and had to sit out
the rest of the season. I achieved that goal so far and of course to make
the podium was an added plus.
I'm definitely more ready for next week and very eager to get to Atlanta to
race. This time I plan to get the starts like I've have been getting in the
last couple of 250 Supercross Races. So
we'll see how we go.
Later!
