The Mt
Morris National was a much better weekend for me compared to Hangtown. I like
the track and I was glad it didn't rain. After winning my day qualifier I had a
reasonable pick on the gate. In the first moto, I had a top 10 start and I
worked my way through the pack to battle with Grant Langston in 4th, but could
not get by him on the last lap.
The second moto went OK. I had another
top 10 start, but fell on lap 4 trying to pass Michael Brandes. The get off
happened in the corner over in the back of the track we hit and I went down. I
remounted in 13th place and worked my way back up to 7th by the end of the
second moto. A much better weekend for me and my Factory Connection Honda CR125
as we keep chipping away to get back into the top 10 in the 125 National points
race. I will make up for my DNF at Hangtown.
