Well, fans:
I rode my pants off especially being it was the last moto of the year at Steel
City!
First moto, I got off to a good start. I was in 4th and I pretty much just
battled with Ryan Hughes for the whole moto. He went pretty fast in some
sections and I was faster in others. It was a lot of fun to have such a
close battle for the whole race. It was just a little disappointing to come out
second best in the battle.
Prior to the second moto I was all pumped up to get on the podium, as I felt
really good. I got a reasonable start, but unfortunately got knocked down in
the first corner. It made me very mad as I was in a points battle with Brock
Sellards. What can I say? I picked myself up and rode my butt off (like it was
my last race). I worked my way up to 6th place right behind Anderson and Hughes
who were in 4th and 5th. I ran out of time by then. All and all I was very
happy because I made up enough places to beat Brock in the 125 National
Points Championship, as Troy had been canceled. I ended up 5th in the 125 National
Championship. I was happy with 5th overall for the series as I had a slow start
to the Motocross season as I was recovering from injury.
I guess it’s all over till next year!
I want to thank the fans for there support and especially VRM for making this
possible! I would also like to thank Factory Connection Honda for the great
bikes and all my other sponsors!
See ya next year,
Burner
