Irvine, Calif. (March 18, 2005) – Team Kawasaki rider Michael Byrne will not be riding at the THQ AMA Supercross event in Orlando this weekend. Byrne injured his left shoulder during a crash at Atlanta but competed in St. Louis with no complications to finish eighth in the main event. Byrne had surgery this week in San Diego to repair torn ligaments in his left shoulder, and will be out of competition for a minimum of seven weeks.
